Dunsborough Arts Festival
Our amazing annual Dunsborough Arts Festival is coming up fast on the Labour Day long weekend of Saturday 1 March to Monday 3 March, 2025.
The Dunsborough Arts Festival has grown phenomenally since it’s inception in 2001. The weekend is coordinated by a huge team of volunteers from the DDPA and community, with the objective of bringing people together to celebrate and promote the substantial talent that abounds in the State. It is free for people to attend thanks to the generous sponsorship of: Dianne Laurance, City of Busselton, Lotterywest.
The event is a huge celebration of local arts and culture. There are art and dance workshops, circus performances, the popular Dunsborough X Factor and Art Market on Sunday.
On both Saturday and Sunday night, there is an outdoor concert. Choose your spot anywhere on the coastline or someone’s verandah for the spectacular fireworks display on Sunday at 8pm over the water, proudly brought to us by local philanthropist Dianne Laurance.
Another highlight of the festival is Sculpture by the Bay which started in 2010 and is bigger and better than ever with roughly 50 outdoor sculptures. You can meander the foreshore and Seymour Park for the outdoor exhibition or stroll to the Christian Fletcher Gallery for the Small Sculptures Exhibition.
Don’t forget that you can even buy the sculptures if one takes your fancy and vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Awards.
This weekend is coordinated by a huge team of volunteers from the Dunsborough & Districts Progress Association, with the objective of bringing people together to celebrate and promote the substantial local art that abounds in the region – and all for free thanks to the sponsorship of Dianne Laurance, funding from the City of Busselton’s Community Event Program and Lotterywest and the sales from the bar! Donations are gratefully accepted!
This year there will be more food vans than ever across the concerts and all day Sunday, and don’t forget to bring your blankets and rugs and reusable wine glasses.
And don’t forget the Art Market. For just $50 you can rent space to sell your art or craftwork to the hundreds of visitors on Sunday, March 3. For more information, click here. The market is open from 8:30 to 1:30pm.
Ride your bike or walk as parking is very limited and if your are coming to Saturday or Sunday’s evening party on the foreshore, please bring your own wine glass.
